With an online event lasting just under an hour, EVO 2024 has been officially announced. With a small change of date, and also of location, in relation to what had been previously planned, the event will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, between July 19th and 21st.
And the lineup is promising. The world's main fighting game championship will, of course, feature the biggest games of the genre at the moment: Mortal Kombat 1, Street Fighter 6 and the beloved Tekken 8, which has just hit the market.
Check out the broadcast below:
In addition to them, Guilty Gear: Strive, The King of Fighters Xv, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike are the other confirmed games.
EVO 2024 Japan takes place earlier, in April
Before the event in the United States, however, EVO 2024 will have its edition in Japan. It will take place between April 27th and 29th, at the Ariake GYM-EX facilities, in Tokyo. It is worth remembering that Sony and RTS bought EVO, but the conference remains open “for all platforms”.
