Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has a surprising outcome

Published

on

The second part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake project is almost upon us. And if Tetsuya Nomura, creative director of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, delivers on what he promised, the outcome should surprise franchise lovers — but perhaps not in a positive way.

Nomura admitted that he is a little nervous about people's reception in an interview with Automation Media. He didn't go into much detail, but he believes the reactions surrounding the conclusion of this second part will be a bit mixed:

When you played FF VII Remake, you probably had a little question in the back of your mind, something like “most of the scenes match the original, right…?” So, I wanted to add an ending that would surprise the audience. As for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, I really don't have a good idea how the public will react. (…) What I can say is that the ending will certainly have an impact, let's say, different from the Remake. I'm a lot more nervous this time about how everyone is going to handle this ending. However, before heading into any spoiler territory, please play the game to find out for yourself!
