Final Fantasy XVI turns one year old, and Square Enix publishes art

Final Fantasy XVI is celebrating its first anniversary this Saturday (22). To celebrate the occasion, Square Enix published new art by Clive Rosfield, the game’s protagonist, as well as a message from director Hiroshi Takai.

In a post on X, Takai thanked the community, recalled the releases of the DLCs and assured that the PC version is still in development. Read:

The first anniversary of the release of Final Fantasy XVI is here. Thank you to everyone who played the game! I wish to express my gratitude to all of you on behalf of the team.

Since then, we have also released the “Echoes of the Fallen” and “The Rising Tide” DLCs. I hope everyone is having fun with the expansions, along with the main game.

Currently, the team is working hard on the PC version. We want to make Final Fantasy XVI available to as many players as possible. Thank you for continuing to support the game!

Meanwhile, Square Enix, also through X, brought beautiful art by Clive Rosfield (image below). In the description, the Japanese publisher asked fans to remember the most memorable moments of the adventure in Valisthea. There were people mentioning battles against bosses, the possibility of petting the wolf Torgal, in addition to Ben Starr’s performance as Clive.
