Fortnite is about to dive into a new season and the developers have started announcing different upcoming items, but players are hoping that the new Battle Pass won't include a controversial character.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is almost over, which means Epic Games is already sharing previews of Season 2 content. As leaks have suggested, Chapter 5 Season 2 will be themed around Greek mythology , offering players the chance to unlock Fortnite skins based on gods and other mythological figures.

Players were able to take advantage of an event centered around Pandora's Box to see what's coming to the Battle Royale, but they can also complete certain quests and visit specific locations to get more clues about the new season.

Chapter 5 Season 2 character Odyssey can be found at Ruined Reels, where players can visit a Greek amphitheater as well as statues that could tease upcoming skins.

However, there is one statue that makes players wonder if they will get a reworked skin in the next Battle Pass. “I really hope we don't waste a Battle Pass slot on this. We got a Fish Thicc skin less than 2 seasons ago” said Reddit user 'MeowsclesOnlyfans,' referring to a statue that resembles Fish Thicc wearing a toga while holding a trident.

I just hope they don't make this version of Poseidon in the battle pass“, commented a Fortnite player.

Others advised this player to wait until the Battle Pass is officially revealed, but they don't rule out the possibility: “Some of the meme skins are fun and I expect to get one per battle pass. We got Peter Griffin this time, I guess it's either going to be a fun collab or something Greek themed, but ridiculous.

Some players are tired of seeing characters like Fishstick, Meowscles, and Peely get new skins almost every season, but others are fine as long as they are store skins. “As a boutique item it would be cool“, commented a user.

Whether the statue becomes a skin or not, we will let you know when Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 begins. Regardless, some players have already named this version of the character “Fishus Thiccus”.
