Immortals of Aveum debuts AMD visual feature on consoles



Recently announced for the PS Plus games lineup, Immortals of Aveum has been given a new lease of life, with the debut of a new visual technology from AMD.

There are already two updates planned for the title, both with graphical improvements that promise to make the game even more beautiful, both for consoles and computers. The first is patch, which adds support for dynamic HDR and is expected to be released for all console versions of the game today. The next one,, will add AMD's FSR 3 feature for consoles for the first time, increasing the frame rate per second through frame insertion and interpolation.

“Based on our experiences with Immortals of Aveum – and indeed our own testing on console-equivalent hardware using the existing PC version – our assumption would be that Ascendant Studios and Enduring Games are building on the existing experience by targeting 60fps, increasing the frame rate for 120Hz screen support. Additionally, VRR on consoles would allow for a smoother and more consistent experience, even if there are frame rate fluctuations below 120fps. Expect update with this FSR 3 support in a few weeks, according to material shared by the developer”, analyzes Digital Foundry.
