It started with a statement from Microsoft's CEO, then came the rumors and now there is a “date set” for an official statement. In other words, the possibility of Microsoft starting to release exclusive Xbox games on other platforms seems increasingly real. And now it looks like even Halo could be part of it.

The most famous series of the Redmond company's consoles, the futuristic FPS began its history in 2001 and has always been a symbol of “greenery”. However, according to an excerpt from a job description for the development team for the next game in the franchise, this could change very soon.

“Establish clear design goals and deliverables, focusing the systems design team on achieving a high-quality, cohesive experience for all players, on all platforms“, says the text, published on the official careers page at Microsoft.

According to the website The Verge, despite criticism from some fans, Microsoft should continue with the project of taking Xbox games to other platforms. The announcement will actually be about that – and it was only brought forward due to speculation, because it was initially scheduled for the end of the month.

In addition to Halo, other Xbox exclusives could come to PlayStation

Rumors of Xbox ports for the Sony console include, firstly, Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves, then Starfield, and “eventually”, DOOM Year Zero, Flight Simulator, Halo Infinite, Grounded and Pentiment. Even a game that hasn't even been released yet could also become available on the PS5 in the future. Rumors released by The Verge indicate that Bethesda would be considering taking Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to the competitor. Read more here.
