Konami promises to continue working on the Metal Gear compilation



Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 was a collection highly anticipated by the gaming community, but it encountered some setbacks in its first months on the market.

Since arriving at the end of 2023, the title has had to undergo a series of corrections. In the November patch alone, there were more than 20. Then, adjustments to the trophies. In January, visual and interface upgrades. This month, improvements to cutscenes and texts were announced. And Konami promises not to stop there.

During a broadcast on YouTube, called Metal Gear – Production Hotline, the company reinforced its commitment to continue working to improve players' experience with ports of its famous franchise for the latest consoles, recognizing several persistent problems reported by players.

Graphical discrepancies, suboptimal configurations for modern hardware, lack of control configuration options and unnatural keyboard controls on certain platforms were some of the flaws highlighted. Series producer Noriaki Okamura and promotion manager Jiro Oishi assured fans that fixes are already in the works.

According to them, “the development team is actively investigating solutions” for all of this. However, Konami also emphasized that resolving these issues may take time to ensure comprehensive and satisfactory fixes.

Konami is back. The Japanese publisher spent a good amount of time focusing solely on mobile releases and eFootball, but now, it seems that it is returning to the good times — after all, it has already announced remakes of Silent Hill 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3. And to confirm this moment, the company now launches Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, to celebrate the franchise created by Hideo Kojima.

With the collection, the publisher gives old fans the chance to revisit great classics, as well as providing an opportunity for newcomers to try out games that have left their mark on history. Click here to read our full review.
