Larian Studios entered the gaming industry spotlight last year. With Baldur's Gate 3, he achieved a spectacular level of critical and public success, selling millions of copies and racking up awards. However, the company's work with the franchise should stop there.

The studio's founder and CEO, Swen Vincke, revealed that the company will not develop the long-awaited expansions or even a sequel to the acclaimed RPG. On the contrary: it is moving away from the Dungeons & Dragons intellectual property, which will be the responsibility of Wizard of the Coast alone.

The bombshell was revealed during the executive's participation at the Game Developers Conference (GDC). In recent months, Larian even released some free patches for the game, however, unfortunately, despite being highly requested, it never confirmed a major expansion for the game. Maybe because of this movement, right?

Anyway, Baldur's Gate 3 is still a game and is available for PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
