Monster Hunter Stories 2 reaches 2 million copies sold



This Wednesday (19), Capcom updated the sales number for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. Since its launch in July 2021, the title has sold two million copies globally.

According to a statement from the publisher, the turn-based adventure from its most popular franchise sold 100,000 copies in the current fiscal year, which began on March 31, 2024. This record already includes the numbers obtained by the PS4 version, which reached halfway Of this month.

In the game, players take on the role of the protagonist, grandson of the legendary Monster Rider Red, who meets a Wyverian girl named Ena before embarking on a great adventure around the Wings of Ruin.

Elements unique to RPGs, such as an all-new and immersive story about Monster Riders, have led to the title receiving praise from a wide range of players, resulting in more than 2 million units sold.

Capcom also revealed that demand for Monster Hunter Stories 2 was driven by “the expansion into TV anime,” which can be watched through Prime Video.
