Playdead, from Inside and Limbo, reveals images of new project

After a long time without bringing any news, Playdead, developer of Limbo and Inside, revealed two new artworks for its third game (still unnamed). The game has been in the works since 2017, when it was announced, but there has been no major news since then.

Through X (Twitter), the company stated that it will be present at the Game Developer's Conference (GDC) in San Francisco, in March. In the message, he took the opportunity to attach an image of the new project.

When clicking on the link in the tweet, the user comes across a Google form, which reveals new information about the game. It is a “3D, open-world adventure, which takes place in a remote location in the universe, produced in Unreal (Engine) 5”.

The same form also brings a second image of the new project. In it, apparently, a person passes through giant pipes, towards what appears to be a broken down car. Look:

More about Playdead's new project

The new game was announced a few months after the launch of Inside, a platform and horror title, in 2017. Since then, we have heard little about the game: the producer brought an image in 2018, which indicated sci-fi elements. In 2020, four years ago, Playdead revealed a teaser, which didn't show much other than a person standing on a mountain.
