PS5 Pro technology can reach up to 8K at 60 FPS

The PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) technology, which will supposedly be integrated into the PS5 Pro, has received new details. According to a leak, it could reach up to 8K at 60 FPS in the future, while maintaining frame rates at 120 FPS at lower resolutions.

According to a report from Insider Gaming, the update arrives shortly after a major leak involving the specifications of Sony's new console model. At first, PSSR would allow bringing 4K resolutions at 60 FPS, but then it would be able to go much further.

PS5 Pro could have functional ray tracing at 60 FPS

Documents shared by anonymous sources suggest that the PS5 Pro's hardware limitations would prevent it from achieving 8K and 120 FPS under restricted conditions. However, the technology would guarantee 4K/60 FPS and 8K/30 FPS, with the possibility of surpassing these marks.

Furthermore, one of the games supposedly analyzed would have revealed secure compatibility between ray tracing and the frame rate at 60 FPS. PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution memory requirements are approximately 250 MB, with 180 MB for the PSML library and 64 MB for the game.
