PUBG has a patch that fixes errors in ranked and more

Krafton continues to bring news to PUBG: Battlegrounds and update 2.58 has arrived to celebrate seven years of the battle royale's launch. In addition to fixing errors in ranked, other issues involving textures and elements received attention.

Most of the tweaks impact the experience for PC players, but it also takes care of animations and other cross-platform aspects. Check out a summary of the main improvements below:

PUBG Patch 2.58

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where the character would move to an unusual location when trying to dismount a vehicle while traveling and there was no space to dismount.
  • Fixed issue with Phase 4 and 8 Safe Zones in Ranked It is Esports which were being set in water after update 28.1.
  • Fixed an issue where the first player to exit the End of Match screen would not receive Arcade Points in certain situations in Bluebomb Rush mode.
  • Fixed an issue where, in a specific situation, the reload animations for DBS, S1897 and Win94 were not displayed, but the weapons were reloaded.
  • Fixed an issue where the character's face would be distorted when holding the Emergency Cover Flare.
  • Fixed an issue where a fallen Mountain Bike would move on its own.
  • Fixed an issue where the character could hide under the road.
  • Fixed an issue where the Random Weapon Crate would remain floating in the air in Miramar in Intense Battle Royale mode.
  • Fixed an issue where certain flame effects were displayed as normal flames when set to Simplified Chinese.
  • (PC) Fixed an issue where the character would teleport when trying to get on the Motorcycle cooperatively.
  • (PC) Fixed an issue where the 8x and 15x scopes would not detect fine movements when the in-game scope sensitivity was set to 12 or less with mouse DPI at 400.
  • (PC) Fixed a crash issue that occurred after character movement and position were incorrectly seen in Replays.
  • (PC) Fixed an issue where the character would quickly move forward after using a thrown weapon.
  • (PC) Fixed an issue where the game process remained active after exiting the client instead of ending correctly.

World:

  • Fixed collisions, textures, performance and other general issues in Deston.
  • Fixed an issue where the sky textures on Taego and Rondo were unevenly divided.
  • Fixed an issue where shooting while on the Zipline in Miramar was disabled when the Additional Action Queue was active.
  • Fixed an issue where the Radio Message would not display the word 'Safe' when placing a Ping Screen Marker on a Safe Location in Rondo.
  • Fixed an issue in Rondo where Emergency Cover airdrops were missing when a player respawned with the recall system and moved to a location where multiple Emergency Cover Flares were used.

UX/UI:

  • Fixed issue where the token image was missing from the pop-up when receiving Spring Fest 2024 Tokens, obtained by reaching level 50 in the Crafter Pass.
  • Fixed issue where a player's follow icon was misaligned when their teammate muted their microphone.
  • Fixed an issue where the Blood Hunter Mask icon was displayed incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue where the XP required for the next level did not match between the Pass banner and the Pass page.
  • Fixed an issue where specific hair items remained visible in the preview when applying item previews on the Survivor Pass Rewards page.
  • (PC) Fixed an issue where the Emergency Cover Flare option in Settings – Hotkeys – Combat Tab was incorrectly worded in English/Korean.
  • (Console) Fixed an issue where the Console icon was missing when viewing the Human Billboard emote in the Store.

Items & Skins:

  • Fixed leg clipping issue when using Red Nova's Outfit and Tang Sanzang's Boots together.
  • Fixed an issue where the Death Effect for the Progressive Sun Wukong – M24 skin was intermittently missing.
  • Fixed an issue where the Progressive Sun Wukong – M24 rare skin effect was not displayed from a certain distance in another player's view.
  • Fixed an issue where the Progressive Sun Wukong – M24 rare skin effect differed from the preview when inspecting the weapon in FPP
