Battlefield 2042 1

Battlefield 2042's seventh season update, Turning Point, is now live. The patch includes a new map, weapons, and various balance adjustments, as well as bug fixes and other improvements.

The highlight is the Haven map. Inspired by Arica Harbor (Bad Company 2), Strike At Karkand (Battlefield 2) and Amiens (Battlefield 1), the scenario consists of an urban location that favors combat for infantry and vehicles.

Meanwhile, Stadium returns as a standalone map halfway through Turning Point. Much requested by the Battlefield 2042 community, the Hourglass area will be adapted for intense hand-to-hand battles.

Other content in the update includes the AK 5C (assault rifle) and SCZ-3 (submachine gun) weapons — the FR Strife (LMG) and the XFAD-4 Draugr aerial vehicle will be available later. Finally, a Battle Pass with “powerful weapons and useful gadgets” can now be accessed.

Quality of life improvements in Battlefield 2042

Some tweaks include XP bonuses after killing the last remaining member of an enemy squad and bug fixes across all maps. Additionally, the EBAA Wildcat vehicle and AC-42, G57, MP28, PF51, M93R, 12M Auto, RPT-31, M416, SPAS-12, Avancys and P90 weapons were balanced.

Finally, the notes mention changes to the soldiers' AI, the interface, specialists and the audio system. To check the full notes, just click here.

Battlefield 2042 is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC. The title will be free to play between March 21st and 24th.
