Second season of Twisted Metal casts Calypso actor



The North American channel Peacock announced that Calypso, an iconic character from the Twisted Metal games, already has her interpreter for the television series. Anthony Carrigan, from Gotham and Barry, will play the creator of the streaming competition.

According to a description provided by Deadline, Calypso will be “the mysterious and charismatic host and creator of a dangerous demolition derby tournament, which invites all assassins, vigilantes, mercenaries and joyriders to participate.”

In the plot of Twisted Metal, he will offer pilots the “prize of fulfilling their greatest desire”. However, his personality and his interests in the organization promise to bring good twists to the series.

Anthony Carrigan was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 2019 for Barry. Meanwhile, he played Victor Zsasz on FOX’s Gotham during 2014 and 2019.

More names are confirmed for the second season of Twisted Metal

In addition to Carrigan, Peacock has confirmed that Richard de Klerk (A Teenage Prophet, Strange Empire), Patty Guggenheim (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Florida Girls) and Tiana Okoye (Panhandle, Mrs. Davis) will join the series in roles recurrent.

Anthony Mackie returns as John Doe, alongside Stephanie Beatriz (Quiet), Joe Seanoa and Will Arnett (Sweet Tooth) and Thomas Haden Church (Agent Stone). The second season of Twisted Metal is in development.
