Published

on

It's normal to hear news that a major publisher acquired a developer or a team of talented people, but SEGA moved the market in a different way. The publisher hired Justin Scarpone, an executive with 30 years of experience in the market, to take care of its global media strategy.

Scarpone has already worked with other general entertainment giants such as The Walt Disney Company of Japan and Scopely, and will now take on the role of chief vice president of the publisher's Global Transmedia Group. Its implementation will take place on April 1st, when the first fiscal quarter will begin.

The executive's resume brings interesting achievements, highlighted in a statement issued by SEGA. According to the publisher, he was responsible for the marketing strategy for titles such as LINE: Disney Tsum Tsum, Kingdom Hearts and Marvel Future Fight in Japan and the West.

Looking to expand its dominance in marketing, animation and other types of entertainment, as was the case with the release of the Sonic film in 2020, the company will count on Scarpone to lead the entire strategy from now on. Reinforcement for the team, right?
