This weekend, several sources released important details about Microsoft's planning for the coming months. According to rumors, the manufacturer intends to expand the offer of exclusive games for the PlayStation, starting with Starfield, Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves.

The most complete report, shared by the Xbox Era website, suggests that Starfield will arrive on PS5 in late 2024, after the release of the Shattered Space DLC. To port the game, Xbox would have offered a dev kit for the Sony console to Bethesda, in order to support the major strategic change.

Additionally, Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves would be released “soon” for rival platforms. While the maritime exploration game would still not be released on PlayStation, the acclaimed rhythmic hack 'n' slash will be available during this first quarter.

The rumors were reinforced by journalist Jez Corden, from Windows Central. According to a post on XMicrosoft exclusives, which would also include DOOM Year Zero, Flight Simulator, Halo Infinite, Grounded and Pentiment, would arrive on the Sony console “eventually”.

Starfield and Indiana Jones on PlayStation?

While Starfield, Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves would be older titles, a game that has not yet been released for the Xbox Series may become available on the PS5. Rumors released by The Verge indicate that Bethesda would be considering taking Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to the competitor.

This decision would also be part of the company's multiplatform approach, with several titles being evaluated for both Sony's new generation and the Nintendo Switch. According to sources, Indiana Jones would have a “very short” period of exclusivity on Xbox — “a few months”.

It is worth remembering that the studios have not confirmed the offer of Starfield and other games on other platforms. Therefore, the information should be treated as rumors.
