The buff of this already OP class in Diablo 4 leaves players perplexed

Diablo 4 patch 1.4.3 brought significant buffs to one class in particular, leaving some players perplexed and others envious. While debate rages over which class benefited from these improvements, the question remains: was this buff really necessary to balance the game?

The class in question? That of the Barbarian. Given the wide variety of weapon types Barbarians can use, whether those weapon types are class-exclusive or not, it’s hard to imagine this class not having an advantage over the others in terms of versatility.

This is especially true when you consider how easy it is to get one-shotted in Season 4 and how naturally resilient Barbarians are to damage.

However, many of the most powerful builds in the game are Barbarian builds. Alongside the Thief, these two classes make up some of the highest ranked Pit runs in the game, reaching levels 140 and 150 with multiple classes in the hands of expert players.

While the best class in Diablo 4 is ultimately subjective, the fact that the Barbarian is so effective in the late game with a variety of different builds really makes him stand out from the pack.

This, combined with an easy leveling process and the ability to prevail in endgame even without an optimized build, makes it a prime candidate for the best all-around class in the game.

And, with patch 1.4.3, came a ton of boosts and buffs aimed at making the Barbarian’s Whirlwind build one of the best in the game, in addition to already powerful builds like Strike/Slash, and Thorns.

Conversely, other classes like the Wizard and Druid don’t have many viable options at higher levels.

And, while not everyone thinks the Barbarian should be nerfed, the general feeling from the community is that it’s hard not to feel like other classes are being ignored while the Barbarian is put on a pedestal.

With even 50% of what the Barbarian has, players can still crush Druids and Wizards who don’t use the Immortal build in a flash “, said the original poster.

There are so many very easy Barbarian builds to do and they are all very powerful ”said another player. “ Of course, you won’t get the 500k+ HP monster that kills everything with Thorns, nor what Rob cooks up with his super equipment, but there are a multitude of accessible builds for Barbarians, Thieves and Necros that can go very far “.

While the Barbarian has several builds capable of getting through Diablo 4’s toughest content, other classes are left out.

I’m happy to reach 3 million with my Blizzard Sorcerer and get a one-hit kill at Pit level 60 with good gear lol “, said one player.

That’s without mentioning the Druid, a class that many longtime players believe is doomed in Season 4. However, those who are more optimistic have nothing against Barbarian players getting another build that holds up , as long as other classes get the same treatment and everyone has more fun with the game.

Don’t look at the Barbarian and ask for nerfs, instead ask for the other classes to get boosts and become equally powerful! »
