When it comes to Invincible and the Viltrumites, there’s no doubt that they have more than what it takes to take on Superman. They would engage in a few bloody rounds thanks to their respective super-strength and invincibility, with Ottley explaining that it would be a “gore fest”.

During an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Reddit, a fan asked Ryan Ottley, the artist ofInvincible, what would be his crossover or dream team. Fans were hoping to get as many details as possible, and the artist responded that he would love to a crossover between the DC universe and that ofInvincible.

“Oh, definitely Superman. And it would be a gore fest like you can’t imagine. The Viltrumites would convince Batman and Lobo to join them and they would hatch a plan to take down Clark and his entire Kryptonian race. Clark would hire Lex (Luthor) out of desperation to help him survive. Let the bloodshed happen DC, don’t be afraid,” Ottley said.

For fans of the original comics, Invincible has already met some well-known heroes like Spider-Man and Batman. The prospect of Ottley’s crossover isn’t too far-fetched as far as a written story goes, especially since the comics have already revealed that Grayson thinks Superman sucks because of his superhero name.

Season 2 ofInvincible proved that Mark did not use the full extent of his Viltrumite powers. He had his own bloodbath when he vented his anger on Angstrom Levy in the season two finale.

This proved that Mark was holding back and was not at his peak yet, not wanting to become completely like his father. But there’s no doubt that Grayson has enough power to take on Superman.

We can then hope that season 3 ofInvincible will show fans the true extent of Mark’s powers (and perhaps his new costume too) as he enters a new chapter in his hero journey.
