BioWare had already shared details about the progression of Dragon Age: The Veilguard when the title was called Dreadwolf, but now there is more concrete news. The new title in the franchise will offer extensive skill trees for each class.

According to an interview from the studio with Game Informer, there will be three starting classes: Warrior, Rogue or Mage. Starting from the center, it is possible to branch in different directions of the tree, selecting options between unique skills, passives, attributes and more.

In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the Warrior can parry and stun enemies with melee attacks. Meanwhile, the Mage is unable to defend direct hits and the Rogue has an expanded block window for safer combat.

Each one will have light and heavy attacks, and can define between three and five advantages for your team members. Companions will fight alone, but can be controlled at any time and have synergy moves, strengthened by relationship status.
