Toys for Bob, from Crash Bandicoot, will become independent

After a series of uncertainties in the studio, Toys for Bob, from Crash Bandicoot 4, announced its next move. The company confirmed that it will become independent from Activision and is studying a possible partnership for future projects alongside Microsoft.

In a statement, the developer commented that the time has come to take “our future games to the next level”. With this, it will have the opportunity to “return to its roots of being a small and agile studio”.

Furthermore, Toys for Bob suggested that the separation would be taking place through an amicable process. Thus, both Activision and Microsoft support the company in “our new direction”.

Over the years, we have inspired love, joy and laughter in every player's inner child.

Toys for Bob works on new project

Toys for Bob also revealed that it already has a project in development. According to the company, the title is in its first days of production and an announcement will take a long time to be made. However, it will tell new stories and introduce never-before-seen characters and gameplay experiences.
