Twitch had 60 million hours viewed per day in February

The February State of the Stream report, produced by StreamElements and Rainmaker.gg, indicated that Twitch saw a drop in viewership in February – the first time this has happened since September of last year. Nothing too surprising, however. After all, the month has fewer days, and if the hours/day are analyzed, the number is as expected.

There were 60 million hours watched per day, totaling 1.6 billion in the month. Or Perry, co-founder of StreamElements, believes the balance is positive.

“As Twitch's total hours watched are impacted by the days of the month, daily hours watched are a more accurate reflection of the platform's momentum. With February almost on par with January and higher than the previous three quarters, this year should be an improvement over the last if they maintain this level of engagement,” he highlighted.

Check out the Top 10 most watched games on the platform in February:

  • Grand Theft Auto 5 – 152 million
  • League of Legends – 126 million
  • Valorant – 88 million
  • Fortnite – 62 million
  • CS:GO – 58 million
  • DOTA 2 – 44 million
  • Call of Duty Warzone – 34 million
  • Apex Legends – 31 million
  • Minecraft – 26 million

Helldivers 2 debuted in the Top 15 on Twitch

An interesting development was the success of Helldivers 2. With 19 million hours watched in the month, it debuted in the ranking as the fourteenth most watched game in the period. A very relevant result for a project that was far from meeting all these expectations – so much so that its servers had several overcrowding problems in the last few days.
