“Warhammer is the greatest career privilege”

More than acting, Henry Cavill will be the executive producer of the series that will adapt the game Warhammer 40,000 for television. After speaking, in a chat with the website Collider, that the production promises “great things”, the actor highlighted that he sees the series as one of the main achievements of his successful career.

In an interview with Josh Horowitz's YouTube channel, Cavill spoke about how privileged he feels about this opportunity.

“It is the greatest privilege of my professional career to have this opportunity. I can't say too much, again it's still early days, but having this opportunity to bring it to the screen and be in charge of it being faithful is key for me. This is what I've wanted since I was a child. This is what I spend my free time dreaming about, as an adult too. And now I can bring it to life. There’s no bigger reason for me to get into the industry than to do something like this, and I’m so happy to be here.”

In late 2022, Cavill was announced in these roles, following his controversial departures from the roles of Superman and The Witcher. Apparently, however, there was no bad taste or frustration with it. On the contrary. He managed to make a dream come true.

Warhammer series is a dream for Cavill

During his reveal as the show's protagonist, the actor highlighted how interesting doing the Warhammer series would be for him.

“I have loved Warhammer since I was a child, making this time truly special for me. The opportunity to guide this cinematic universe from the beginning is a great honor and responsibility. I couldn't be more grateful for all the hard work Vertigo, Amazon and Games Workshop did to make this happen. One step closer to realizing an almost lifelong dream,” Cavill said at the time.

There are still no further details about the plot, characters, cast and release of the Warhammer series.
