With epic trailer, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is featured on State of Play

Cloud Strife and his friends from Avalanche are back. Or almost. There is very little left until the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second part of the remake of the classic PS1 RPG. With that, Square Enix presented us with an epic trailer for the game at State of Play.

In the video, players see several familiar faces, such as Vincent, Cait Sith, Sephiroth and many others. Apparently, the protagonists' objective is to prevent the villain from getting the “Black Materia”. Another highlight is Zack Fair, who at one point holds Aerith in his arms. Look:

The graphics actually look very nice, but anyone who thinks that Square Enix worked using the most current development tools is mistaken. According to director Naoki Hamaguchi, the company opted for Unreal Engine 4, instead of Unreal Engine 5 — the most current version of Epic Games' graphics engine.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth arrives exclusively on PS5 on February 29th. Pre-sales of physical media can now be made on Amazon Brazil, with free shipping and a guaranteed lowest price.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will have a “root” Sephiroth, says creative director

And speaking of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, there's no way not to mention Sephiroth. The antagonist will be present in the second part and promises to be that root villain from the original game. Is Cloud's group ready for the challenge? Find out here!
