Fallout fans can be happy: Amazon is working on a Fallout series and the first teaser trailer was already shown at gamescom 2023. However, only behind closed doors and the public will not see him for the time being. But the makers have already published a first small teaser poster and at the same time revealed the location where the series is supposed to take place.
Amazon’s Fallout series is set in Los Angeles and this is the cover photo
The cat is out of the bag: Amazon’s upcoming Fallout film adaptation in series format has its setting and it has now been announced as part of gamescom 2023: The events are said to take place in Los Angeles.
Fallout returns to one of its first locations ever. Los Angeles already played a role in the first Fallout title. The town of Boneyard was built on the ruins of the Californian coastal town.
In addition, there is now also a first poster as a teaser image, which you can see here:

Start next year
We still don’t have too much information about the Amazon Prime series, but at least: Now it’s clear that it’s about the residents of Vault 33 in the Los Angeles area and that the series will start next year, which is 2024 goes to the start.
We don’t yet know how many episodes we can expect. Whether there will be a second season will depend largely on the success of the first season and the response to it. In any case, Jonathan Nolan is involved as a screenwriter, who has also co-written films such as The Dark Knight and Interstellar as well as the HBO series Westworld.
Are we seeing New Vegas? By American standards, Los Angeles is not that far from Las Vegas. So does New Vegas play a part in the series? At least one Fiend Raider and one Mr. House can be found on imdb. Eventually, the events from Fallout: New Vegas could also occur.
Currently, Bethesda has its hands full because the long-awaited Starfield will be released at the end of the month. Only after that are titles like Fallout 5 and Elder Scrolls 6 coming up. But a new, prettier and improved Fallout 4 version for the current gen consoles is also in the works, at least that was announced last year for 2023.
What do you think of Los Angeles as the setting for the Fallout series? Are you looking forward to it, what do you expect from it?
