fight with the Core i9-13900K
Thanks to the Geekbench benchmarking software (via Videocardz) we already have new performance tests of the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D. This is the company’s new top-of-the-range CPU within the AMD Ryzen 7000X3D series of CPUs. Unlike its predecessor, the Ryzen 9 7950X, this processor makes use of technology 3D V-Cache to increase the cache by an additional 64 MB. This cache significantly increases performance in any app or game that takes advantage of it.
For context, the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D is a processor 16 cores and 32 threads processing. These nuclei AMD Zen4are manufactured by TSMC using the node of 5nm FinFET. These cores operate at a Base frequency of 4.20GHz and Turbo up to 5.70GHz. These are accompanied by 1 MB of L1 cache, 16 MB of L2 cache and a generous 128MB L3 cache. All this is linked to a TDP of 120Wthe use of socket AM5, and its maximum operating temperature is 89ºC.
AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D vs Intel Core i9-13900K on Geekbench
Let’s go to what interests us, and that is that this processor was seen by the Geekbench benchmarking software. It was there that he managed to achieve a single-core performance of 2,271 points. This puts it right in the middle of the Intel Core i9-13900KS (2,345 points) and the Intel Core i9-13900K (2,214 points). If we go to the new Geekbench 6there he achieved a yield of 2,767 points, thus positioning itself now between the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X (2,902 points) and the Intel Core i7-13700K (2,760). The Intel Core i9-13900K/KS move away with 2,928 and 3,054 points respectively.
This benchmark also helps to know that the fastest running core reached 5,681 MHz.
In multicore performance, we talk about 24,727 points. In this way it is placed in the middle of the Intel Core i9-13900K (25,235 points) and the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X (23,081 points). In the most modern version of the benchmark, it reached 19,114 points, practically tied with the Ryzen 9 7950X (19,213 points) and the Core i9-13900K (19,725 points). All these tests were carried out in the most ideal conditions, which imply the use of DDR5 RAM at 6,000 MHz.
Reviews around the corner
You have to remember that it will be next Monday when the reviews will be released, so there really is very little time left to find out all the information. It must be remembered that this processor will come accompanied by the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3Dwhile the Ryzen 7 7800X3D will not hit the market until April.
Taking advantage of the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D It also arrives next week, we remind you of the specifications. Although it makes use of the same architecture and manufacturing process, in this case we are dealing with a configuration of 12 cores and 24 threads processing. These operate at a Base frequency of 4.40GHz and Turbocharged 5.60GHz. The rest of the differences are in the cache. It integrates 768 KB of L1 cache, 12 MB of L2 cache and 128 MB of L3 cache. This CPU maintains the same TDP of 120W.
Officially, these CPUs arrive at a respective price of 699 and 599 dollarsbut their prices for our market are still unknown.
