Final Fantasy 16: The cute dog is called Torgal and could be a team member

In the first trailer for Final Fantasy 16, a cute little dog was briefly seen. It looks like this is called Torgal and could even become a party member in the game.

In addition to the main characters Clive and Joshua, an animal companion was also seen in the early video for the upcoming Square Enix fantasy RPG. Now producer Naoki Yoshida has revealed a few secrets about the cute puppy:

“Well, let’s just say he’s more wolf than dog – and his name is Torgal,” he reveals in the interview, hinting that he might even have adventures as a team member.

Yoshida did not want to reveal to whom exactly the little one belongs and what role he could play in the FF16 world or in a group of heroes. However, new information on in-game team building could soon follow: “As for him as a possible party member, you’ll just have to wait and see. We’ll have more information about the groups soon.”

The well-known gamer and streamer Aitai Kimochi, on the other hand, has already thought about the origin of the animal’s name: Tor could allude to the thunder god Thor, although “Gal” in the Nordic languages ​​could mean something like protector.
