A new chapter is beginning in Fortnite: Chapter 4 Season 4 is just around the corner, which also means that the servers will be offline for a short time. When and how long this will be the case is almost certain and here you will also find all the other information known so far. For example, we already know what the content of the new season is about.
Last update on August 24th: Epic is gradually announcing new information about the new season. So we now know the story of the new season called Last Coup and the cinematic trailer was released to go with it:

- When does Chapter 4 Season 3 end? On August 25th at 8am the countdown timer expires. Whether it will stay at this time is not yet certain, in the past such appointments have been postponed again and again.
- When does Chapter 4 Season 4 start? There is currently no final time for this either. Normally the servers were always offline for between two and five hours.
- When does the reveal take place? There may still be a trailer that matches the current gamescom, otherwise the official Fortnite channels are gradually releasing more and more teasers.
- Is there a live event? Probably not. So far, leakers and dataminers have not been able to discover any evidence of what was otherwise always the case in advance. But of course it is still conceivable.
- What’s the name of the new season? As Epic has announced, the new season will be LastResort be called.

This is how the change from Season 3 to Season 4 works
As in previous times: Season 3 ends tomorrow, Friday, August 25th. Then Epic shuts down the servers for a few hours, usually two to five hours. The servers will then go online again with the new season. It can be assumed that you can play again on Friday evening or Saturday morning at the latest.

Mysteriously, no trailer has yet been released so close to the season change. The gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live Show, for example, would have been perfect for this. We are excited and will of course keep you up to date on how things are going.
