Fortnite officially says goodbye to construction in Zero Build, a new game mode
As rumored, Epic Games has released a new game mode permanent for Fortnite where you can’t build. It is a discipline that is already available in the battle royale free and can be played both alone and in pairs or in a group. This game mode, titled ‘zero construction‘ in Spanish, can be found in the ‘Discover’ tab, giving us access to a new way of playing Fortnite: essentially it is the same battle royale that we know, but without the possibility of building structures.
Construction mechanics are tied to fortnite battle royale from its origins, but Epic Games surprised by deactivating them during the first days of the newly released Season 2. Supposedly it was a temporary event that would last only until today, but finally the company has launched this new game mode, Zero Build, to allow those players who wish to focus on the pure and simple action without stopping to create structures to defend against enemies. can you see the trailer of Fortnite Zero Build below:
New mechanics to make up for the lack of construction
Epic Games speaks of this game mode as a “new approach” for Fortnite, one that is completely optional at the moment and that does not replace the classic way of playing: “Zero construction puts you to the test so that you demonstrate your transversal skills and how do you deal with weapons and items“, explains the company in an article published on its official blog.
By changing something as fundamental as construction, other Fortnite rules have also had to be modified: “Since there is no construction, players will have a rechargeable total shield as the primary means of defense in Zero Construction,” says the company, which also specifies other game changes: “Use the elevators to reach the airships or use your new climbing ability and reach high ground that gives you an advantage over your opponents. Don’t forget to sprint through cover for the victory royale!”
Fortnite It is available for free on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
