Fortnite servers are going down today, August 30th on all platforms (PC, Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, Android). The maintenance work will be used to load the new update 21.50 onto the servers. Preliminary patch notes for the update can be found here.
What’s happening in Fortnite today? A patch awaits you this time. For this purpose, the servers for maintenance work and the new patch 21.50 will be taken offline.
The patch brings new skins, wild weapons and possible changes on the map. So that you don’t miss anything, we at MeinMMO update this article for you regularly throughout the day.
Update 10:35 am: You will now be completely banned from Fortnite and have to download the update file. It is 2,309 GB on the PS5. After downloading you still can’t login. We are now adding some leaks that have been published.
Fortnite: Server Down – When and how long is it offline?
This is the downtime in the morning: The servers are expected to be shut down at 10:00 a.m. German time in order to install update 21.50. Matchmaking is already disabled 30 minutes beforehand, so you won’t be able to search for new rounds after 9:30 a.m.
When can you play again? During such maintenance work, the servers are usually offline for several hours and playing is then no longer possible. The downtime is expected to last between 30 minutes and 2 hours. The updates of the past few weeks have shown that.
Such maintenance work can always lead to technical problems, bugs and delays. If such complications should arise, we will report them here immediately.
When are the patch notes coming? Epic Games has been releasing little to no patch notes for a long time. However, members of the community often search and find the changes quickly. However, if there are important changes, we will add them to the article for you.
What new content does update 21.50 bring?
What’s new for Battle Royale mode? We don’t know anything concrete yet, but leakers have often presented themselves as a reliable source with their predictions. Leakers have published these changes:
Say goodbye to impostor mode
Fortnite leaker Shiina and other trusted insiders announce that after the 21.50 patch, Impostor mode will be pushed into the content vault. So after the downtime, you won’t be able to play imposter mode for a long time.
New skins for the item shop
Fortnite is once again bringing cool new skins and dances to the item shop. This includes some iconic items, dances and even a Pride skin.
Double jump soon in Fortnite?
A new visualized sound icon was also found in the data, suggesting that you might even be able to double jump soon. When or how this new feature will be implemented in Fortnite is not yet known.
