One of the most interesting additions to season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 4 it was a sword that not only allowed us to attack enemies, but use its ability to greatly increase our mobility. Sadly, the days of throwing ourselves at full speed to rip an opponent in two are over. The kinetic blade has been disabled in all game modes of Fortnite and we explain why they deactivated it.
A couple of days ago we noticed that this item had disappeared from ranked mode, but they finally gave the notice that it would also be removed from normal modes of all Battle Royale lists, including zero construction.
Because of this, all quests involving the use of this item were automatically replaced or completed.
Why did they deactivate the Kinetic Blade of Fortnite?
The official statement from Epic Games simply says that it was “due to a problem.” Most likely it is due to a cheat that was being used by some players. They discovered that disconnecting the PC’s network connection while playing Fortnitequickly attacking an opponent quickly with the Kinetic Blade and reconnecting it could take it out without any problem taking advantage of a ‘lag switch’.
You can see this trap in action here.
The Kinetic Blade will be disabled for the remainder of the season, which supposedly ends on Friday, June 9, 2023. Will we see her again in season 3? We’ll see.
