Gamer completes Baldur’s Gate 3 in just 10 minutes and sets a new speedrun world record.

Video of this amazing achievement went viral just as Baldur’s Gate 3 became the highest-rated PC game of all time, and many gamers haven’t even made it past Act 1!

Larian Studios, the Belgian developer, has always made it clear that this game is their most ambitious project to date. It was estimated that a full game of Baldur’s Gate 3 would take at least 75 hours, and even up to 200 hours for perfectionists! However, it turns out that the game can be completed in a matter of minutes if players choose Gale as the main character and are willing to do some mischief.

Canada-based speedrunner Mae managed to beat this massive Larian RPG in 10 minutes and 3 seconds, including load times. Basically, she jumped through all the challenges until reaching a location near the end of Act 2, where Gale can choose to blow up the Netherese Orb of Destruction that she has embedded in her chest. This particular action is currently the only known way to legitimately skip the final boss fight and the rest of Act 3, which technically hadn’t even started when Mae had Gale sacrifice himself for the good of the kingdom.

Mae now holds the current world record for speedrunning in this hit game by Larian, according to Speedrun.net. It remains to be seen how long her record will stand, especially since the largest online speedrun communities only recently began accepting speedruns for Baldur’s Gate 3.
