Untitled design (18)

Although the original plans indicate that The Boys It would only have five seasons, a couple of days ago the possibility began to circulate that this was not the case, and the beloved Amazon production would enjoy more episodes. However, all these speculations have come to an end, since The showrunner of this adaptation has made it clear what the future of The Boys.

Through his official Twitter account, Eric Kripke, showrunner of The Boys, made it clear that the series will come to an end in the fifth season, exactly as planned from the beginning. This is what he said about it:

“The Boys Season 4 premiere week is a good time to announce: Season 5 will be the final season! It was always my plan, I just had to be cautious until I got the final go-ahead from Vought. I’m thrilled to bring the story to a bloody, epic, wet climax. Watch season 4 in 2 DAYS, because the end has begun!”

Everything indicates that Kripke always wanted to end with the fifth season, but Amazon tried to persuade the showrunner to expand the story. However, this is not the end of this universe. Although the conflict between Butcher and Homelander will come to an end in the future, We know that spin-offs like Gen V and The Boys Mexico will keep this property aliveand even the possibility of seeing more content in the future is not ruled out.

We can only wait to see what will happen with The Boys in the future. We remind you that The fourth season of the series will arrive on Prime Video on June 13. On related topics, here you can check out the new trailer for these episodes.

Author’s Note:

The story of The Boys, although it has been quite separated from the comic, it has a clear ending, and it is something that cannot be extended. This is the right decision. For all those who want more of The Boys, the spin-offs will be more than enough to quench their thirst for violent heroes.
