German Computer Game Award 2023: All nominees at a glance
In 2023 there will again be the German Computer Game Prize, which is endowed with 800,000 euros.
The German Computer Game Award honors the best games of the past year in various categories. Of course, it is also about the best game from Germany. In this category, for example, Signalis or Chained Echoes are nominated. But there are many more nominations and they have all been announced now.
The German Computer Game Award 2023: These are the nominees
What’s the matter? The German Computer Game Prize is awarded. It will be a while before the prize is awarded, which will not take place until May 11, 2023. But the nominees have already been decided and you can see them here in a total of 15 categories.
Here’s what you can win: It depends on the category. For example, the prize for the best German game is endowed with 100,000 euros for first place. The other two nominees will each receive 30,000 euros.
The Young Talent Award Best Debut is endowed with 60,000 euros. In the Best Family Game category, 40,000 euros can be won. For example, there is 50,000 euros in the Best Prototype Young Talent Award.
Jury chairwoman Prof. Mareike Ottrand expresses her thanks in an official statement:
“Congratulations to all nominees! This year, the jury was presented with creative and courageous games that were developed with a lot of passion and skill. In passionate discussions, we identified the best games of the year. Many thanks to all members of the jury for their expertise and her commitment to the German Computer Game Award.”
