The adaptation of Asmodee Digital’s board game Gloomhaven has finally been announced for consoles.
More than two years after its debut on PC, the title is coming to other platforms.
While developer Flaming Fowl Studios was responsible for the PC version of Gloomhaven, which left Early Access last year, Studio Saber Interactive is responsible for porting to the consoles.
“We look forward to working with Saber Interactive to bring Gloomhaven to new players around the world,” said Asmodee Digital CEO Pierre Ortolan. “Partnerships like this are one of the great advantages we now have as part of the Embracer Group. We look forward to unlocking even more opportunities for our fans in the future.”

Saber Interactive’s CEO and co-founder Matthew Karch added, “Our partnership at Gloomhaven epitomizes exactly why we brought Asmodee into the Embracer family. Gaming is truly a transmedia experience and it’s great that we have the opportunity to compete with the world’s best board game makers to work together to bring their IPs to consoles. This is the first of many such announcements to come.”
A console release date for Gloomhaven or specific platforms has not yet been announced. But it won’t happen before 2023.
