Glorious Model O 2 Wired Review
There will always be products for all budgets and although some prefer not to have cables on their desks, others love it. This time it’s time to tell you about my experience with the new wired Glorious Model O 2, an ultra-light ambidextrous mouse that seeks that special place in the enthusiast public.
For Glorious, the Model They are the winners of several awards as one of the best gaming mouse on the market, not only for its price but also for its features. This new installment (second part) comes with a number of improvements that promise to be hooked once again. From improvements to the casing, excellent sliders and, above all, an improvement in the sensor so that we do not lose the smallest Esports Extras when playing.
I must confess that I am not a fan of wired gaming mice, at times I think it is annoying and I feel “trapped” while using it but to my surprise with this braided cable things are different. The cable is very manageable and this leaves a lot to be said since since it is an ultralight mouse, a thick cable would make the mouse move on its own and that is the most annoying thing.
Before continuing as always, let’s see a little about the technical specifications such as dimensions, features and, above all, the new technology that this mouse includes (information taken from the Glorious website):

Inside the box obviously comes the well organized wireless mouse with its 2 meter braided cable. A quick start guide, manuals and a Glorious decal.
This is an extremely light mouse, in my case I come from using a Logitech G Pro Superlight Wireless that weighs 63 grams and to my surprise this Model O 2 weighs 59 grams, a record weight for me and that is handled strategically so as not to feel Not so light but it does come out a lot compared to the other. It’s an unfair comparison to be honest but at the same time that’s the lightest gaming mouse I’ve ever tested and I feel pretty comfortable with it but that’s not the point.
As you can see in the photos, we have a desEsports Extrasvery similar to its predecessor, but the location of the holes is somewhat different. We have a mouse with very different dimensions and it actually fits quite well in the palm of the hand. The holes are characteristic of all Glorious mice, so it is something that we will always be seeing. The buttons on top have been sized a bit differently and we have RGB lighting on the wheel which actually feels quite comfortable.
The aesthetics of this Model O 2 is abruptly ergonomic, at least for my hands I think it’s a fairly adequate size. It doesn’t feel too small or too bulky. The side buttons are in a fairly correct position for our thumb, in my case I use it a lot as a shortcut in games like PUBG: Battlegrounds, Squad, among others. A huge problem is that some always make us lose the comfort zone in our thumb to press the button and this greatly unbalances the aim.
The polling rate is 1ms. This response rate is quite attractive but at the same time it is not surprising since many gaming mice willingly offer us this response time and believe me we really need it when playing competitive games. It is worth mentioning that the complete mouse has a quite beautiful RGB, unnecessary in my opinion since something more competitive leaves aside the decorative function a bit. The advantage is that being connected by cable we forget about the battery life but personally I prefer not to have RGB.
The big innovation here is the optical sensor called Glorious BAMF 2.0, this sensor boasts enormous precision. Not losing a Esports Extras on our mouse pad is the best technology we could have in our hands, no matter what, this sensor has a maximum resolution of 26,000 DPI. Personally my settings used in any shooter game is from 2400 to 2700 DPI, depending on how much weight the mouse is set to.
My overall experience with the highest resolution it used was 2700 DPI and I really had a good response in games like Valorant, Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0. The purpose of all this is that we can shoot fast, move quickly and never lose a confrontation.
I don’t feel any lag or the feeling that the Glorious BAMF 2.0 Optical sensor is losing response in motion. In the same way, the mouse also has integrated rollers that promise 100% zero friction, allowing the mouse to be dragged in the lightest and most fluid way possible. In the lower part of the mouse we have a led that indicates the color of the DPI profile that we have activated. In my case I only use a single profile but many like to have different speeds and this is the perfect indicator. More for those of us who do not use RGB above, it only remains to raise the mouse a little and see the color.
The software glorious core It is not so necessary once the mouse is configured but to update the firmware on first use this is very vital. We also have 3 profiles available that we can choose without problem. It is a software that I really do not find any problem since the mouse does not depend much on it although some functions are sometimes not updated at the moment but must be saved for the mouse to adopt them.
This is an ambidextrous mouse and can really be used properly no matter which hand you’re using. The difference is that other gaming mice of this type have the same button on both sides and it is a bit inconsistent to claim that this one has the same buttons on both sides but in this case the Model O 2 it only has the buttons on the left side but the layout is the same on both sides (just because of the buttons duh!) but I really don’t see any problem with this feature, on the contrary I think it’s quite friendly.
Something that really bothers me and it may not all feel the same but the click switches are too loud. Personally they feel too simple although Glorious promises a guarantee of 80 million clicks with these switches so they are not that bad at all although the reality is that you can feel a slight vibration when clicking and this is annoying .
Although you can press the click in any zone the sound does not change, it is still just as annoying and for someone who wants to play for example Diablo 3, Lost Ark or League of Legends they will have to give those tremendous clicks one after the other and at the moment everything it will be complete chaos.
In conclusion
He Glorious Model O 2 Wired is quite practical, with a price of $64.99 it makes it a gaming mouse that many could buy to raise their level of playability and experience a lot. The improvement is tangible and for a person who has tried many mice over the years I think you have an excellent following. The BAMF 2.0 sensor has its own and I can’t stop thinking about how fluid, fast and of course light the mouse feels thanks to all these features combined in it.
I don’t like that noise from the clicks that, although they promise a long duration, I think they could have been less noisy and catastrophic after several uses, I feel that sound in my head. I understand it is not a high-end gaming mouse but that part needs to work a little more, although everything else makes us forget about this problem a bit. Its integration with the software is quite good and makes the mouse not so dependent on it, however, the addition of RGB is somewhat unnecessary in something that can be used more for competition than for decoration. Everything else this mouse is ultralight and ultra gorgeous. This review was made with a copy provided by Glorious.
