GoldenEye 007 is out on January 27 for Nintendo Switch Online and Game Pass.
Following its announcement in September of last year, the father of modern FPS, Golden Eye 007 from Rare would be released for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, without a specific date. However, that has changed and it goes a step further by announcing its launch for this January 27, not only on the Nintendo platform, but also for Game Pass.
The classic Nintendo 64 FPS will come with online multiplayer exclusively on Nintendo Switch. Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S players can still experience local multiplayer with split-screen support. Alternative control options, achievements, native 16:9 resolution support, and up to 4K Ultra HD resolution are also available. Furthermore, those who own Rare Replay can download Golden Eye 007 for free.
GoldenEye 007, was a game released in 1997 for the mythical Nintendo 64, being a very faithful adaptation of the homonymous film, starring Pierce Brosnan. The game stood out for its incredible campaEsports Extrasthat took us to many of the locations of the film and other new ones. In addition, it had one of the best multiplayer modes ever that laid the foundation for modern FPS games. We could make use of a huge number of weapons, and the game also stood out for its incredible soundtrack.
GoldenEye 007 will be available for download on the aforementioned platforms on January 27, 2023. You can see the announcement trailer below.
