Grim Guardians: the metroidvania with Gal Gun characters already has a release date
A few months ago we presented a new game from Inti Creates clearly inspired by castlevania which caught our attention for its attractive Esports Extras art and classic 2D-style gameplay. His name is Grim Guardians: Demon Purge and we already know when it comes out thanks to a new trailer that revealed its release date in the west and its collector’s edition.
This game is a ‘spin-off’ of the troublesome and unpleasant Gal Gun: Double Peace. They even share the same initials in their name. Fortunately it seems that they only have their characters in common and we hope this one doesn’t sexualize its underage characters like its predecessor.
With that said, we can take a look at the new trailer or trailer.
We will have control over two characters, the demon hunter sisters Shinobu and Maya, each with different abilities. We can switch between them at any time as in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin and play cooperatively with a second player.
Despite previously saying that the levels would be linear, now they are describing this title as a metroidvania.
When does it come out Grim Guardians: Demon Purge and for which platforms?
As you could see in the trailer, the release date of Grim Guardians: Demon Purge will be the Thursday, February 23, 2023. It will arrive digitally on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X | S, Nintendo Switch and for PC via Steam. We can already add it to our wish list in the latter.
Grim Guardians: Demon Purge it will also have a physical version for PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch that will be released in the second quarter of the year. We will also see a collector’s edition.
What will the collector’s edition of the game include?
The collector’s edition box Grim Guardians includes the following items:
- Physical copy of the game.
- Origami set inspired by Maya’s skill
- Keychain with the Kamizono sisters
- four postcards
- acrylic diorama
- Forty page art book
- five stickers
