GTA 6

GTA 6 would already explode a historical record

The development budget for GTA 6 would be colossal and make it the most expensive game of all time. What to expect from a revolutionary title?

Has there ever been a more anticipated game than GTA 6 in video game history. Even if there is no factual element to measure the hype aroused by a production, we would be tempted to believe that nothing and no one has ever succeeded in creating a craze on the same scale as Rockstar’s AAA. Every leaked, every rumor, a whole community ignites. At the slightest conference of a manufacturer or exhibition dedicated to video games, fans finally hope to see the publisher officially announce GTA 6. In any case, we can say that the American studio is taking its time before finally unveiling the title officially and given the colossal budget that would be allocated to it, we can understand why.

GTA 6’s budget would be unheard of in history

Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar, is one of the most powerful players in the market. The company would therefore not be afraid to line up the tickets to allow developers to make GTA 6 an exceptional product. According to the hacker, a minor at the time, who had shared 90 gameplay videos of the alpha version of the game last year (and who has just been declared unfit to receive his judgment), the budget allocated to the game would amount to 2 billion dollars. We will still take tweezers since the envelope displayed here is absolutely enormous, even counting the marketing budget.

Indeed, the development cost of GTA 5 is “only” $265 million. Even if inflation has gone through it, it’s hard to imagine that Rockstar’s next hit will cost at least eight times more than its predecessor, but also four times more than that of Red Dead Redemption 2, which would have cost around $540 million (marketing included). It seems much more plausible that the budget devoted to GTA 6 is close to a billion dollars, which would already be enormous and quite obviously historic, since it is higher than that of StarCitizen ($600 million).

A revolutionary game for the whole industry?

In view of the mechanics that could integrate GTA 6, the term “ambitious” suits him perfectly. In the next game of its flagship series, Rockstar would offer a map much larger than the one available in GTA 5 and would even plan to release more maps after the launch of the game. The weather and the various environmental effects would be more realistic than ever, as would the AI, which should be greatly improved according to rumors. Romance options could also be integrated into GTA 6as was the case in GTA San Andreas. For now, it’s hard to tell right from wrong among all these leaks, but we imagine that Rockstar intends to make a lasting mark on the video game industry with Grand Theft Auto 6. Let’s just hope that the studio finally explains how in the coming months.
