Who is the High Evolutionary?
This character was created by Stan Lee, Jack Kibry and first appeared in comics on the pages of The Mighty Thor #134 in 1966.
The real name of this villain used to be Herbert Edgar Wyndham. In the 1930s he began experimenting with genetic manipulation inspired by biologist Nathaniel Essex (Mr. Sinister), building a machine he called a genetic accelerator that he used on himself. His obsession is to create a new species by accelerating evolution, for which he creates a new world called Counter-Earth.
Although he doesn’t always act as a villain, his obsession with perfecting the species he is creating using animals and his experiments on humans have pitted him on multiple occasions against teams of Marvel heroes such as the Avengers, X-Men and Guardians of the Galaxy.
Thanks to his high intellect, his psychic powers, manipulation of matter, strength and superhuman resistance, he is a very dangerous opponent. In the film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 He is played by Chukwudi Iwuji.

How does the effect of the High Evolutionary or High Evolutionary card work on Marvel Snap?
This 4 cost card with 7 power has the effect “At the start of the game, unlock the potential of your cards without effects”. That means that all the cards without effects that we have in the deck acquire effects.
There are currently seven cards without effects in Marvel Snap: they are: Wasp, Misty Knight, Shocker, Cyclops, The Thing, Abomination and Hulk.
If we have the letter of the High Evolutionary or High Evolutionary in our deck of Marvel Snap together with some, several or all of these cards, they will obtain the following effects from the beginning of the game.
- Wasps – when revealed: two random enemy cards at this location receive -1 power
- Misty Knight – when you end a turn with unspent energy, give +1 power to an allied card
- Shocker – when revealed: gives -1 cost to the leftmost card in your hand
- cyclops – when you end a turn with unspent energy, two random enemy cards in this location get -1 power
- the thing – on Reveal: A random enemy card at this location is given -1 Power. Repeat this two more times.
- Abomination – costs one less for each card in play that has negative power.
- Hulk – +2 power for each turn that passed without expending energy
Recommended decks and strategies
Troll Deck
(High Evolutionary + The Thing + Wasp)
This combo can be put in a deck with other cards that reduce the opponent’s power like scorpions, Green Goblin and hobgoblin to secure a strategy that will cause many to leave games in a rage.
If you feel confident in your deck, add to the deck as well. Abomination and try to reduce your opponent’s power to negative numbers early so you can get her on the battlefield early.
energy saving mallet
(High Evolutionary + Wasp + Misty Knight + Shocker + Cyclops + Hulk)
This seems to be the main combination for decks with the High Evolutionary card or Alto Evolucionador in Marvel Snap. The idea is to create combinations that allow us to reduce the cost of cards —such as Be— to spend less energy each turn or better yet, spend a turn without spending energy to boost our own cards. It also goes well with Sunspot, She-Hulk and with Magik to ensure a turn 7 where the Hulk powers up even more.
Complete deck of the High Evolutionary
(High Evolutionary + Wasp + Misty Knight + Shocker + Cyclops + Hulk + Abomination + The Thing)
Since all seven non-effect cards are so common, it’s not unreasonable to think of a Marvel Snap deck with all of them and the High Evolutionary.
If they go for this strategy, there is room for four more cards in the deck. These depend on the strategy you want to use. We recommend that they be sunspot, scorpions, Magik and Be.
We hope that this guide of the High Evolutionary or High Evolutionary in Marvel Snap Help them get the card, learn how to use its effect, and build unbeatable decks.
