The Boy and the Heron, Hayao Miyazaki’s latest film, has been received with great enthusiasm by both Japanese audiences and critics, and many consider it one of the director’s best works. At the Toronto Film Festival, the film made its international premiere and was presented by none other than Guillermo del Toro, a man who has previously expressed his love for animation and who describes Miyazaki as “the Mozart of our time.” .

During the initial presentation, before the film was shown, he said:

USA can boast of being one of the first territories that will be able to enjoy The Boy and the Heron outside of Japan, since it premieres on our billboard on October 27. In the rest of Europe we will have to wait until next year for The Boy and the Heron to be released, but if you are in the United States, the film will hit theaters there on December 8.
