Hi-Fi Rush outsold Forsaken on Steam at launch
The top three releases in the past week were Dead Space Remake, Forspoken, and Hi-Fi Rush. This last one is the most surprising of all of them, since we did not officially know (although there were rumors) of its existence until it was announced and suddenly the January 25.
It turns out that not being previously promoted didn’t hurt the game at all. In fact, the opposite has turned out. SteamDB posted the top ten best-selling products on Valve’s platform last week, and it turns out that despite being available for free through Game Pass, Hi-Fi Rush (at #8) outsold Forspoken, the big Square Enix’s JRPG (which hasn’t even made the top 10) on Steam. To put things even more in value, SteamDB also measures revenue, and Hi-Fi Rush is a reduced price launch (29.99 euros), while Forspoken costs 79.99 euros, which reveals that the difference in units it’s even bigger.
And what about Dead Space Remake? His performance was even better and he finished at number 3 on the list. Deserved, as we told you in our analysis about him.
