Just a few hours ago we learned that Justin Roiland, co-creator of Ricky and Morty, was fired from the series following accusations of domestic violence. However, his popular adult animated series will not be the only project in which he is no longer involved. And now we have known that High of Life will continue without its creator once the resignation of Roiland from Squanch Games, the studio founded by himself and which has served as developer of one of the most played Game Pass titles in recent months, with a very focused approach on action and absurd humour.
“On January 16, 2023, Squanch Games received the resignation of Justin Roiland. Squanch’s passionate team will continue to develop games we know our fans will love while we continue to support and improve High on Life“, ha explained the American company in a brief statement on its Twitter account in which they have reported this situation that has precipitated in recent hours, but without delving into the subject and without offering additional explanations. And it is that the followers of both High on Life and Rick and Morty already know everything they need to know.
Meanwhile, from Adult Swim they have affirmed that Rick and Morty will carry on until, at least, season 10, despite the departure of its creator. For his part, he recalls that High on Life is already available on Xbox and also on GamePass at no additional cost to subscribers to the service and which has become one of the great phenomena of the platform for its crazy and ingenious first-person action proposal.
