Hogwarts Legacy: Choosing the right house – you need to know that
The first decision in Hogwarts Legacy is truly not an easy one.
As in “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone“, the question of all questions awaits you in Hogwarts Legacy: In which of the four houses Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin or Hufflepuff will the Sorting Hat put me? What is an irrevocable decision in the books and films, the game doesn’t quite take so serious.
In Hogwarts Legacy, you can change the sorting hat you choose!
This is how you get to the house of your choice
Once your character has the sorting hat on, you will be asked two questions shortly afterwards. But only the second question decides about which house the game proposes to you. Below we list which answer stands for which house:
- boldness (Giffindor)
- curiosity (Ravenclaw)
- loyalty (Hufflepuff)
- ambition (Slytherin)
Don’t worry if you chose the wrong answer, you can immediately choose one of the three other houses. But keep in mind that your current choice is final. You cannot change them later in the game!
Linking to Warner Bros. Account: Optionally, you can also choose your house via the official site of the game. You can find out how this works in a separate article. This eliminates the second question from the sorting hat.
What changes with the choice of house?
Not too much, to put it roughly. First of all, of course, the choice determines whether your bed is in the room of the Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff common rooms. You will also receive a fresh set of clothes that match your house.
The biggest difference, from what we’ve been able to determine so far, is a special part of a quest throughout the main story that is completely different for each of the four houses. If we find any other differences, we will update the article.
This is what your common room will look like if you choose Slytherin.
JK Rowling’s transphobia: The success of Hogwarts Legacy indirectly benefits Harry Potter author JK Rowling, who participates through existing publishing rights and the associated sale of the books. Rowling continues to be active in anti-LGBTQIA+ rhetoric and actively supports anti-trans policies in the UK.
