During Season 2, training dummies will be coming to Diablo 4 on which you can test your builds – but you’ll have to be patient because they won’t be available right at the start of the season.
In the Campfire Chat on October 10, 2023, the developers of Diablo 4 reported on the innovations that will be introduced into the game with the second season. Many players are cautiously optimistic after the content for the season was announced.
In the last third of the live stream, the developers discussed another patch that will come a little later – including additional features.
Diablo 4 gets training dummies
These features are coming with patch 1.2.1: With Patch 1.2.1, training dummies are coming to Diablo 4, on which you can test your builds and various attacks and items. Such training dummies are already known from other games, such as The Elder Scrolls Online or Final Fantasy XIV.
Especially with the changes to the builds that the developers have planned, it makes sense to be able to test new combinations without having to run into monster mobs.
The training dummies will be found in a basement in Kyovashad. This gives you the opportunity to make changes to your equipment, swap or upgrade individual items and try it out on site.
On the screenshot you can see that there are different options that you can make for your dummy:
- normal training dummy
- Elite training dummy
- Boss training dummy
- single training dummy
- several training dummies
Otherwise, the patch should introduce an option in Diablo 4 to reset the Paragon board. This is currently quite complex and expensive if you do it at level 100:
You can watch the developer’s Campfire Chat video on YouTube. Patch 1.2.1 is discussed at 1:17:29.
When is patch 1.2.1 coming? At Campfire Chat, the developers said that patch 1.2.1 is scheduled for the end of the month. He won’t come right at the start of the season, but before BlizzCon.
BlizzCon is free, but you can once again put a lot of money on the table this year to get a little more out of the event. Because there are new packages with “BlizzCon goodies” that are currently causing a stir:
BlizzCon 2023 is free, but Blizzard would still like €50 from you
