In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor you can use the lightsaber in a much more targeted way than in the predecessor

The video gives us an idea of ​​how we can use our lightsaber even more precisely.

The release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to Fallen Order, was pushed back a little recently, but we’re now getting eight minutes of fresh gameplay. The video focuses on the different ways Cal can wield the lightsaber.

The five lightsaber stances

In Jedi: Survivor we once again slip into the role of Jedi Cal Kestis. He’s older and more experienced now. This should not only be reflected in the story, but also in the fights. Already at the beginning of the game we should feel that Cal has a lot on it.

In the new game, we have a total of five different lightsaber positions to choose from and start the action with three of them: Cal can wield his weapon with one hand as normal, as a double lightsaber (two lightsabers stuck together at the handles) or as a dual wield, with one weapon each in each hand.

One of the stances that will be added later is called “Blaster Stance”. Only two different stances made it into the first game due to time constraints, while the dual lightsaber became just a special attack.

The video shows us the advantages of the new postures and outlines the history of their origin. Depending on how we use the lightsaber, we can, for example, spontaneously cancel animations in order to be able to react faster.

The new release date for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is now April 28th. So we don’t have to wait too long despite the postponement.
