Incredible Graphics: New Skyrim mod looks so good, Elder Scrolls 6 makes you sweat
Instead of pixelated leaves, there are realistic textures.
Even though The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is 12 years old, players are still enjoying the title. They have no other choice, because the release of The Elder Scrolls 6 seems to be a long way off. First, Bethesda has to take care of its new IP Starfield.
A modder has now tinkered with Skyrim’s graphics and given a small preview of what the graphics in TES 6 could look like. The environment looks more realistic than ever before.
Skyrim will be the next main offshoot
What technology does the YouTuber use? It uses a resolution of 5160×2160 (or 3440×1440) and Nvidia’s DLDSR technology. This enables the best image quality currently available. It also uses DLSS technology to boost performance even further. Both technologies rely on the help of artificial intelligence.
…and this is how it looks like:

The video impressively shows how fantastic the forests in Skyrim can look. We can even see the rays of light punching through the treetops.
The leaves of trees and bushes shake in the wind and we can make out every single blade of grass on the ground if we wanted to. In the further course there is a small pond with a waterfall to see, which also impresses with its graphics.
The modder installed the following components in his PC:
- i9 13900K
- RTX 4090
- 32GB DDR4-4000
In a second video, the player starts in a city and shows how he explores the forest from the third person view. He wears armor that reminds us of Dark Souls and uses a glider like Link uses in Zelda: Breath of the Wild:

In the middle of the video, the YouTuber triggers a fight with several orcs. The fight isn’t for the faint of heart though, as there’s a lot of blood splattering and multiple heads and limbs rolling around after the finishers.
This is what the next generation could look like
While this isn’t official footage, we’re already getting a glimpse of what TES 6 might look like. But it will probably be a few more years before we see the role-playing game.
There is supposed to be a big gap between Starfield and TES 6, which unfortunately is unavoidable. During this time there will probably be other mods that can tease out even more potential from Skyrim.
What do you think of the two videos? Is this how you imagine TES 6?
