Jack Black to star in ‘diabolical’ Christmas movie

Jack Black has sparked a frenzy among his fans by announcing a mysterious new project on his Instagram.

Revealed via Deadline, the new project has been confirmed to be a Christmas comedy titled Dear Santa.

Dear Santa tells the misadventures of a boy who accidentally sends his Christmas list to Satan instead of Santa Claus, so it’s sure to be as *text muted*ish as it is festively fun.

For the project, Black will reunite with comedy moguls Bobby and Peter Farrelly (Dumb and Dumber), with Bobby directing and both producing alongside Jeremy Kramer. The film will be produced by Paramount.

As for a release date, none has been mentioned yet, but Black noted in a second Instagram post that he’d be seeing everyone again “for Christmas!” So maybe later this year is a good bet?
