DC Studios head James Gunn responds to rumors that a porn actor will play Lex Luthor in the upcoming Superman: Legacy movie.
James Gunn, co-head of DC Studios, has responded to a ridicule rumor on Twitter which claimed that porn actor Johnny Sins would play Lex Luthor in the upcoming Superman: Legacy movie.
Although no one really believed that Johnny Sins, whose real name is Steve Wolfe, would play Luthor, there is always room for rumors on the internet. Gunn had a great response, telling a fan on Twitter: “My God, you can’t seriously believe that.”
Johnny Sins is bald, just like Luthor, and that fact was enough for someone to start an unfounded rumor that the adult film star could play the villainous Superman in the next movie. But that’s not going to happen.
As for who could actually play Luthor, it’s been reported that Nicholas Hoult is on the shortlist for the role of the villain. Jesse Eisenberg played Luthor in Justice League. Before him, he was played by Kevin Spacey in Superman Returns. And before that, Gene Hackman played the villain in several Superman movies.
David Corenswet will play Superman in Superman Legacy 2025, with Rachel Brosnahan in the role of Lois Lane. Gunn will direct the film and co-write the script.
