John Wick: Chapter 4 triumphs at the box office

The fourth and final film in the John Wick saga opened over the weekend, shattering expectations with ticket sales far exceeding the opening of the previous films. John Wick: Chapter 4″ has managed to gross $73.5 million in its opening weekend, comparable to “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum,” which grossed $56.8 million in the same period. Not surprisingly, the success has also sparked talk of a fifth film, in addition to the planned Ballerina spin-off with Ana de Armas.

The boss of Lionsgate, joe drakecommented on the success over the weekend, describing it as “too big to pass up”, referring to the possibility of a sequel.

“It’s more than tempting, I’m not going to give up hope that there can’t be a ‘Wick 5’.”

Of course, it all depends on whether Keanu Reeves wants to continue playing the title role. Without him, it seems highly unlikely that we’ll get a fifth installment.
