Jonathan Majors who plays Kang in Marvel is arrested on charges of strangulation, assault and harassment
Actor Jonathan Majors, who plays Kang in Marvel’s MCU and most recently starred in Creed 3, was arrested in New York City on Saturday morning on charges of strangulation, assault and harassment.
TMZ reported that Majors was taken into custody around 11:00 a.m. ET, after police responded to a call for service in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.
The alleged victim reportedly had visible injuries, including a laceration behind the ear and redness and marks on the face. A spokesperson for the New York Police Department’s Assistant Commissioner for Public Information confirmed Majors’ arrest and shared the following statement:
“On Saturday, March 25, 2023 at approximately 11:14 a.m., police responded to a 911 call… A preliminary investigation determined that a 33-year-old man was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman. The victim informed the police that she was assaulted. Officers took the 33-year-old man into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor head and neck injuries and was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.”
Majors recently starred in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Creed 3.
